Job summary

Targa Resources in Midland, TX is seeking an engineer for the Delaware Basin Gas Plants team. The role centers on project execution, operations support, PSM compliance, and facility optimization across the project lifecycle.

You will size equipment, develop PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans, and Piping Isometrics; run ProMax process simulations for Cryogenic gas plants; support midstream operations and amine dehydration systems; and collaborate across safety, environmental, and field teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering from a 4-year accredited university.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as project engineer and/or process engineer in natural gas plants processing, construction, and/or operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; ability to interface effectively with all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to operations, including troubleshooting, debottlenecking and optimization, PSM compliance, and DOT compliance.
• Develop scope of work/for-bid packages for engineering, construction, and commissioning; track costs and milestones.
• Interpret and design PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans, and Piping Isometrics; size equipment and select piping and relief devices.
• Develop process simulations and energy balances using ProMax for Cryogenic gas plants and Amine systems.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
