Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking an experienced engineer for the Delaware Basin Gas Plants team. You will drive project execution, provide operations support, and ensure process safety and regulatory compliance across a Cryogenic gas plant portfolio.

Responsibilities include sizing and specifying equipment, developing PFDs/P&IDs, and performing process simulations with PROMAX to optimize dehydration and amine systems. Travel and cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering from 4-year accredited university.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience as project engineer and/or process engineer in natural gas plants processing, construction, and/or operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside the company.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
• Regular and reliable attendance

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to operations including troubleshooting, debottlenecking and optimization.
• Develop scope of work for engineering, construction, and commissioning activities. Track/forecast costs and milestone schedules and regularly communicate progress to project stakeholders.
• Size mechanical equipment and select piping materials to meet design requirements.
• Interpret and design PFDs, P&ID’s, Plot Plans, and Piping Isometrics.
• Develop process simulations and energy balances using ProMax for Cryogenic gas plants.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and regulations in midstream gas processing.
• Support safety reviews and front-end loading activities and project lifecycle tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to meet project goals.
