Job summary

Targa Resources in Houston, TX seeks an engineer to join the Delaware Basin Gas Plants team. The role focuses on project execution, operations support, PSM compliance, and facility optimization to maximize reliability and safety.

Responsibilities include preparing for bid packages, cost forecasting, and coordinating with stakeholders. The candidate will size equipment, interpret PFDs/PI&Ds, and run PROMAX simulations to drive performance improvements.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3–5 years as project/process engineer in natural gas plants.
• Proficient with MS Office; able to interface across levels and teams.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to operations including troubleshooting, debottlenecking and optimization.
• Develop scope of work for engineering, construction and commissioning, track costs and milestones.
• Design and size mechanical equipment and piping to meet design requirements.
• Interpret PFDs, P&IDs, plot plans and isometrics for process facilities.
• Develop process simulations using PROMAX for Cryogenic gas plants and amine systems.
• Support safety, environmental and regulatory compliance across the site.
