Job summary

Harvest Midstream is seeking an experienced engineer to provide midstream operations support, performing hydraulic analyses, PHA studies, and feasibility evaluations for growth projects and acquisitions. The role collaborates with control rooms, field personnel, and commercial teams to optimize performance and value.

The position requires broad engineering expertise across civil, mechanical, electrical, and process control domains, with travel up to 25% and engagement with regulators as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Minimum 10 years oil and gas/process engineering experience.
• 5 years minimum process experience in a plant environment.
• Familiar with PSM and process hazard analysis; able to perform PHAs.
• Familiar with Promax or equivalent modelling software.
• Ability to generate heat and material balances for existing and new designs.
• Ability to size relief and control valves for gas and liquids.
• Willing to travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Interact with control room and field personnel to analyze problems, develop alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions.
• Identify opportunities to optimize systems, reduce costs, and maximize operating performance.
• Provide initial design engineering, scope development, schedules, and cost estimates for maintenance and capital projects.
• Coordinate and manage third-party engineering designs for projects.
• Lead or support project execution with project managers and construction crews.
• Lead PHAs for processing facilities and address issues.
• Perform hydraulic simulations of pressures and flow rates in pipelines.
• Support growth project development with feasibility designs and cost estimates.
• Conduct due diligence on midstream assets proposed for acquisition.
• Meet with local, state, and federal agencies as needed.
• Present updates at field monthly performance meetings.
• Assist in incident response as required.
