Job summary

Devon is seeking a Midstream Automation Engineer to design, install and support control systems for production facilities and other infrastructure. You will act as a technical resource for automation through effective technologies and process improvements to optimize operations.

Responsibilities include design support, PLC/HMI programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining interfaces between field automation and SCADA. Travel 10–15% and a strong engineering background required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting PLC, HMI and Flow Computer software/hardware with emphasis on Allen Bradley.
• Proficient with 120V, 480V and 24VDC systems.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and multitask with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% for field visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and guidance for existing control systems and HMIs.
• Participate in design phase for new projects, including PHA, drawings, and PLC/HMI programming.
• Troubleshoot control systems and perform complex tests.
• Maintain interface between field automation and SCADA systems.
• Support checkout and start-up for new facilities.
• Understand and implement industrial communications protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU).
