Devon is seeking a Midstream Automation Engineer to design, install and support control systems for production facilities and other infrastructure. You will act as a technical resource for automation through effective technologies and process improvements to optimize operations.
Responsibilities include design support, PLC/HMI programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining interfaces between field automation and SCADA. Travel 10–15% and a strong engineering background required.

The Midstream Automation Engineer for Devon, will participate in the design, installation and support of control systems for production facilities, salt water disposal facilities, compressor stations and other product/processing related infrastructure and facilities. You will act as a technical resource for the automation of various facilities through the implementation of effective technologies and process improvements in order to optimize production and other organizational operations.
Bachelors Degree required- Engineering degree, such as Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required; Control emphasis preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in related role
10% - 15% Travel will be required for mandatory meetings, training and visits to field locations. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND
Work is typically performed both indoors and outdoors. Incumbents in this position must be able to physically and legally operate company owned vehicles. Employees must be able to perform work which requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping and climbing. Exposure to conditions such as extreme heat or cold is likely. Employee is required to physically visit areas where actual operations are occurring, such as drilling and completions locations or production sites. Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame resistant clothing are required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
