Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Moves trailers between yard and doors as defined (hooking and moving).
• Coordinates trailer movements with management/central control.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Adheres to yard switching safety processes and procedures.
• May perform Package Handler duties: loads and unloads packages onto/off delivery vehicles, trailers, carts, and conveyors.
• Lifts and sorts packages, using scanning tools to verify numbers and charts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
