Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Fallsington is seeking a Yard Switcher/Package Handler to move trailers and assist with loading and unloading packages. You will switch trailers, coordinate movements, inspect equipment, and document actions in the yard environment.

No formal education required; six months of related experience preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and DOT file, and be able to lift and sort packages in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions on duties and safety.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages.
• Ability to use basic tools and equipment listed above.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors; perform yard switches.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management and central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Follow yard safety processes; assist with package handling as needed.
• Load and unload packages onto vehicles and conveyors; lift and carry as required.
