Job summary

Coherent is seeking a Midnight Shift Production Supervisor to oversee the LPE growth process of garnet films at our Easton facility. Training occurs at our Hillsborough, NJ site for 6–9 months, with transfer to Easton, PA upon completion.

The role carries a 5:00pm–1:30am M–F shift, with a 15% differential and potential travel between sites for training. Responsibilities include supervising operators, solving equipment and process issues, and collaborating with Engineering to maintain SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering/Technical field preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant Manufacturing/Production experience.
• 2+ years supervising direct labor/hourly staff.
• Experience with problem analysis and resolution.
• Experience with networked PC systems (Excel, Access, Email).
• Experience using SAP.

Responsibilities

• Supervise LPE growth operations for garnet films.
• Resolve equipment, process, and staffing issues.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures with Engineering.
• Communicate issues and results to process/plant engineers.
• Analyze data for problem identification and root causes.
• Document LPE procedures and work instructions.
• Provide day-to-day supervision for LPE operators/technicians.
• Available to work weekends as needed.
• Maintain high standards of ethics and leadership.
