The role emphasizes regulatory and transactional experience, with opportunities to influence energy policy and market design in a leading national firm.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in energy law with regulatory and transactional experience preferred.
• Familiarity with the Federal Power Act and power market mechanics.
• Ability to draft bespoke energy contracts.
• Admitted to practice or eligible to waive into the jurisdiction of the office location.
• Education: JD from an accredited law school.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate power purchase agreements and energy service agreements.
• Advise on electric market design issues within RTOs/ISOs.
• Represent clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
• Counsel clients on emerging energy policy and renewable energy integration.
