Job summary

Innova Solutions is urgently hiring a Middleware Administrator to support enterprise Java middleware in a banking environment. The role involves installing, configuring, patching, troubleshooting, and migrating WebSphere to Tomcat across WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, and IBM HTTP Server.

This contract is full-time, hybrid: three days onsite and two days remote, for 12-18 months. Location: Pennington, NJ, with options in Charlotte, NC or Jacksonville, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in middleware/integration roles.
• Hands-on experience migrating WebSphere to Tomcat.
• Experience with WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, and WXS.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and scripting (Shell, Perl).
• Familiarity with Jira and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide middleware administration end-to-end for GIS platforms including WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, and WXS.
• Deliver middleware enterprise projects and regulatory initiatives.
• Ensure production stability from ongoing support.
• Patch middleware to the most current version to manage risk.
• Provide Middleware Server administration including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Work daily with application/testing teams on Middleware and Java support.
• Create, maintain and support deployment templates; advise on J2EE best practices.
• Design middleware infrastructure/topology for high availability and failover.
• Provide technical consultation to team members and supported areas.
• Interface with business partners and external vendors; execute production changes for regulatory releases.
