Job summary

The International School of San Francisco is seeking a positive, knowledgeable Middle School Coach for 2–3 weekday afternoon practices and game schedules on weekdays/evenings/weekends. The season runs Sept 8, 2026 to mid‑November 2026, serving students in grades 5–8 across a vibrant, global community.

Coaches will follow program procedures, communicate clearly with families, and contribute to player development, evaluation, and team leadership in alignment with the Jaguar Athletic values.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching at middle school, high school, college or club level.
• Experience in a value-based athletic program is preferred.
• Reliable, prompt and dependable.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a full background check.
• Complies with San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance during hiring.

Responsibilities

• Follow the high school's athletic program procedures and those of the Federation.
• Provide clear communication to students and families about expectations and philosophy.
• Support total development of student-athletes through positive methods and structured practices.
• Use a holistic approach for evaluation, focusing on skill, character, leadership and coachability.
• Foster positive leadership and select team captains in alignment with school values.
