Job summary

The International School of San Francisco is seeking a positive, passionate and knowledgeable Middle School Coach to support our athletics program. Practices occur weekday afternoons with games on weekday afternoons, evenings and/or weekends, starting Sept 8, 2026 and running through November 2026.

Coaches work under the Athletic Director in a K-12 independent setting with over 600 students from grades 5–8.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching at middle school, high school, college or club level.
• Experience in a value-based athletic program preferred.
• Reliable, prompt and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Administer all levels of sport under the Athletic Director.
• Follow program procedures of the school's athletic department and CIF.
• Provide clear communication with student-athletes and families.
• Create meaningful practice structure to enhance instruction and development.
• Use a holistic approach to evaluate student-athletes on skill, character and leadership.
• Assist in selecting team captains and SAAC members.
