Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies.
• Knowledge of system, state and league regulations; applies them consistently.
• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and keep up with new theories and procedures.
• Ability to serve as a role model for student athletes through instruction and actions.

Responsibilities

• Participates in budgeting with the athletic director for the next season.
• Recommends equipment guidelines and manages inventory and costs.
• Ensures equipment and facilities are secure, maintained and properly used.
• Promotes the sport within and outside the school and coordinates with staff, parents and media as needed.
• Provides leadership, organizes preseason meetings and supervises staff and assistants.
