Job summary

The incumbent will mentor student athletes, promote sports within the school and manage communications with media and boosters. A valid high school diploma is required, with prior coaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of athletic policies and procedures.
• Ability to design conferences, clinics and staff meetings to ensure program awareness.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills for a total sports program.
• Ability to model positive behavior and guide student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assist athletic director with scheduling, transportation and tournament requirements.
• Ensure equipment issuing, storage and reconditioning; maintain inventory records.
• Supervise staff, delegate duties and evaluate effectiveness.
• Maintain discipline and improve morale among staff and participants.
• Coordinate with maintenance and school staff for facility scheduling and events.
• Communicate schedules, tournaments and results to media and booster clubs.
