Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools is seeking teacher assistants to support elementary, middle or high school levels for the 2023-2024 school year. You will assist teachers with assignments, observation, and attendance, while coordinating activity programs and maintaining accurate records to support a safe and constructive learning environment.

The role requires experience with children, strong communication skills, and a passion for youth development.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience working with and/or managing children.
• Passion for Gestalt's mission and youth development.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists Teachers with various assignments, including copying, observation, checking attendance, and other administrative functions.
• Coordinates program activities for the purpose of addressing the individual and/or group needs of children.
• Maintains records and files for communication, operational requirements and documentation.
• Maintains a safe environment for children.
