Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools is hiring teacher assistants for the 2023-2024 school year to support elementary, middle, or high school students. You will assist teachers with assignments, coordinate activities, monitor safety, and maintain records to ensure smooth daily operations.

Required is at least one year of experience with children and a high school diploma with 48 college credits. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience working with and/or managing children or programs involving children.
• Minimum high school diploma with 48 college credits.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teachers with various tasks (copying, observation, attendance).
• Coordinate program activities for children (games, art, music, homework).
• Evaluate situations and direct to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Interact with scholars to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Maintain records and participate in meetings to improve skills and documentation.
• Maintain a safe environment for children and perform other duties as assigned.
