Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools is seeking teacher assistants for the 2025-2026 school year. Assistants will be assigned to elementary, middle or high school levels and support teachers with daily tasks.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, maintaining attendance and records, and helping to create a safe, positive learning environment for scholars across grades. A year of relevant experience and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working with and/or managing children.
• Minimum high school diploma with 48 college credit hours.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers with assignments, attendance, and administrative tasks.
• Coordinates program activities (games, art, music, homework) to meet student needs.
• Maintains records and files such as enrollment and sign-in/out logs.
• Ensure a safe, positive learning environment and participate in staff meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
