Gaming and Technology Academy of Saginaw is seeking a dynamic and dedicated MS Teacher to join our team. This full-time position requires fostering student interest and academic development, with mastery of Michigan Academic Standards and effective instructional methods in a secondary setting.

The role includes planning, delivering lessons, using technology to differentiate instruction, monitoring progress, collaborating with teachers, and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with endorsements for the subject area.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years teaching.
• Must meet Highly Qualified requirements as defined by No Child Left Behind.
• Ability to teach and develop curriculum for assigned grade level(s).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with Michigan standards.
• Use technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Help students who are struggling to learn content.
• Collaborate with other teachers to develop lesson plans and improve learning.
• Communicate progress and needs to students and parents.
• Establish clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Manage student behavior and enforce school rules.
• Maintain discipline per school policies.
• Use formative, summative, and interim assessment data to inform daily instruction.
• Create classroom assessments that measure student proficiency as per Michigan standards.
