Job summary

Gaming and Technology Academy of Saginaw seeks a dedicated MS Math Teacher to join our team as a full-time educator. The role focuses on engaging middle school students with Michigan standards, leveraging technology, and differentiating instruction to meet diverse needs.

Qualifications

• A valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with the appropriate endorsement for the subject area.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years teaching.
• Evidence of meeting highly qualified requirements, as defined by No Child Left Behind.
• Ability to teach and develop curriculum for assigned grade level(s).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and align with Michigan objectives.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with other teachers to develop lesson plans and improve learning.
• Communicate with students and parents regarding progress or needs.
• Establish and communicate clear learning objectives for activities.
• Manage classroom behavior and enforce rules and procedures.
• Use assessment data to inform daily instruction and measure proficiency.
