Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree
• Or hold an Associate Degree or 48 College Credits
• Or hold a high school diploma/GED with a passing Para Pro Test and a Teacher Assistant Training Program certificate ( RI Dept of Education )

Responsibilities

• General duties: instructional work in classroom with individuals and/or small groups, including students with disabilities.
• Assist in student learning and behavior management; carry out duties deemed necessary by supervisor/administrator.
• Assist in OT/PT related activities under supervision of licensed therapists when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records and reproduce/maintain files of learning materials.
• Work with children and educators in a sensitive and effective manner.
