Job summary

KIPP NC is seeking substitute teachers to keep learning on track across our eight public charter schools in North Carolina. Substitutes are called as needed and support curriculum delivery, routines, and student engagement.

Responsibilities include executing lesson plans, maintaining a positive classroom culture, and communicating with staff. A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred. Hours mirror the school day: 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Pass Criminal Background Check is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap.
• Zest, grit, professionalism, and a sense of humor.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in teaching in a high performing charter school and/or schools with a high population of students with free and reduced lunch is advantageous.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

• Collect student work and provide feedback as needed.
