Job summary

KIPP North Carolina is seeking Daily Substitute teachers to support our eight tuition-free charter schools across Durham, Halifax, Northampton and Mecklenburg counties. As-needed assignments require flexibility to step in on short notice and maintain continuity of learning for students.

Responsibilities include executing provided lesson plans, collecting and giving feedback on student work, and ensuring class activities align with daily objectives.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Pass Criminal Background Check is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap.
• Zest, grit, professionalism, and a sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• Execute provided lesson plans.
• Collect student work and provide feedback as needed.
• Ensure agendas, objectives, and homework are displayed for the class.
• Embody and maintain the school's values, policies, and culture.
• Develop positive relationships with students, families, teachers and staff.
• Demonstrate a Growth Mindset and give/receive constructive feedback.
