Job description

The WCMS Student Council Advisor is responsible to the Activities Director for developing and conducting the activity assigned in accordance with the policies of the school district and the rules of the NDHSAA.

Responsibilities

1. Represent WCMS by attending all student council meetings/functions.
2. Chaperone students at winter student council conferences, which are held over multiple days and may require travel and overnight stays. May supervise state student council campaigns. Additional stipend on a year to year basis may apply if students are elected.
3. Communicate regularly with administration and the activities director regarding planning for activities and events.
4. Supervise monthly meetings and committee meetings during wolves time as needed and after the school day.
5. Supervise students as they work on and plan student‑led activities.
6. Communicate with community leaders to collaborate with student‑led activities.
7. Discuss building needs with Administration to find possible sources of funds to accomplish building goals.
8. Ultimately responsible for all student council events and activities. Student Council members are under the Advisor’s supervision; if problems arise or deadlines are not met, the Advisor & Assistant Advisor accept responsibility.
9. Assigned concession duties to help provide revenue to the activities department.
