Job summary

Beaufort County School District in Bluffton, SC, seeks a 2026-2027 STEM/Science/PLTW Education Teacher for McCracken Middle. The Middle School STEM teacher provides students with rigorous Science/Technology/Engineering/Math education and supervises all students in the assignment.

Responsibilities include project-based learning, PLTW gateway standards, data-driven planning, and facilitating career awareness in STEM and healthcare occupations.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate and current certification in a Career & Technology, Math and/or Science discipline.
• Must be licensed to teach PLTW or be eligible for SC PLTW endorsement after completing PLTW courses.
• Two years’ work experience in an engineering-related field preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with a rigorous STEM education with health sciences focus.
• Lead project-based learning and PLTW coursework on problem solving and collaboration.
• Help students solve real-world problems and connect to healthcare concepts.
• Integrate health-related activities within STEM content and use data to plan and assess.
