Job summary

Springfield Prep Charter School in Springfield, Massachusetts, seeks a Middle School STEM Associate Teacher for an immediate opening. You will co-teach with another teacher in a two-teacher homeroom, lead small-group remediation or enrichment, substitute when needed, and build strong relationships with students and families to support a positive culture.

You must have a Bachelor’s degree and start by August 2024, with a schedule from 7:25 am to 3:50 pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree by the start of the school year.
• Join in early August 2024 and commit to the 7:25 am–3:50 pm schedule.
• Previous teaching, student teaching, internships, or certification are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach daily, small group support to students needing remediation or enrichment.
• Substitute teach when teachers are absent to maintain rigorous instruction.
• Develop strong relationships with students and families to foster positive classroom culture.
• Lead daily recess and lunch duties.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to meet diverse student needs.
