Job summary

The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District is seeking a Teacher for 2026-2027 in Special Education Resource for Middle School (Grades 6-8). Immediate start with a 187-day term and a $1,000 stipend as board approvals permit.

Responsibilities include developing IEPs, adapting curricula, and collaborating with staff to support student growth. Qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree, Texas teaching certificate appropriate to the assignment, and special education endorsements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate that matches the content area and grade level of the assignment AND
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments

Responsibilities

• Develop IEPs and plan goals for each student
• Implement instructional/therapeutic programs per IEP
• Assess learning styles and tailor instruction
• Present subject matter per IEP guidelines using varied media
• Modify regular curricula to support special needs
• Attend IEP meetings and participate in media selection
• Collaborate with teachers on classroom support and aides
• Maintain records and communicate with parents/ischool staff
