Job summary

Aa210 in Texas seeks a dedicated Middle School Teacher for Special Education Resource/In-Class Support/Co-Teach for the 2026-2027 school year. You will plan and deliver instruction to students with disabilities, using modifications and accommodations to support access to the curriculum.

You will collaborate with general education teachers, implement IEPS, and participate in ARD meetings while maintaining compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines. Coaching UIL sports may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Texas Education Agency teaching certification or eligibility.
• Valid Special Education EC-12 or Special Education Specialist EC-12 certification.
• Driver’s license with CDL preferred if coaching UIL sport.
• Ability to design lessons based on IEP goals and student needs.
• Strong communication with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students with varying disabilities within general and special education settings.
• Prepare sequential lesson plans aligned to IEP goals and TEKS.
• Use adaptive equipment and assistive technology to support learning.
• Implement IEPs and behavioral plans and document progress.
• Coordinate with general education teachers to support inclusive education.
• Assist with ARD processes and progress reporting.
• Support paraprofessionals in implementing IEPs for students.
• If coaching UIL, perform coaching duties and manage athletic program needs.

Texas Teacher Certification

Special Education EC-12 Certification
