Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education.
• Valid Indiana teaching license.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in designated locations.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs of students.
• Creates a conducive classroom environment for learning.
• Prepares for classes assigned and shows evidence of preparation.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of behavior.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals and objectives.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques.
• Assesses student accomplishments and provides progress reports.
• Diagnoses learning disabilities of students.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and policy.
• Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior.
• Available to students and parents outside instructional hours.
• Plans and supervises assignments for aides and volunteers.
• Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
• Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees.

Education
