Job summary

Jefferson Parish Public School System's Tom Benson School in Kenner, LA seeks a Middle School- Head Coach Soccer to lead the entire program, supervise staff and student athletes, and ensure compliance with LHSAA/JPPSS rules.

The role requires after-school time, some weekend work, and commitment to safety, insurance, and athletic development, with responsibility for scheduling, records, equipment, and public relations within the school and community.

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana teaching certificate and LHSAA eligibility.
• CDL Class B with P and S endorsements, no air brake restrictions.
• Must meet JPPSS and LDOE requirements for school activities.
• Experience with soccer program development and safety compliance.
• Ability to train and supervise assistant coaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the middle school soccer program.
• Lead and supervise soccer personnel and student athletes.
• Schedule games and related activities and manage equipment and records.
• Ensure compliance with LHSAA, JPPSS policies and safety rules.
• Coordinate communication with parents, media and school staff.
