Job summary

Jefferson Parish Public School System is seeking a Head Coach for Baseball at Marrero Middle to support the development of the baseball program after school hours. You will lead teamwork, uphold LHSAA and district policies, and coordinate equipment and safety measures.

The role requires strong communication, adherence to deadlines, and ongoing professional development as you guide students and staff in a competitive scholastic environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate and LHSAA eligibility requirements.
• CDL class B or higher with P and S endorsements; bus driving component.
• Employment with JPPSS as teacher/administrator per LHSAA guidelines.
• Demonstrated baseball/softball fundamentals and coaching competency.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in supervising baseball/softball program.
• Maintain equipment inventory, maintenance and issuance.
• Build sportsmanship and positive public relations in school/community.
• Ensure all athletes have up-to-date physicals and proper insurance.
• Report rosters, schedules, scores and incidents to supervisor promptly.
• Participate in professional development and complete CLUs annually.
