Job summary

Sylvania is seeking an SITT Supervisor to monitor and support students requiring a break or in‑school suspension or lunch detention. You will help create a structured, quiet learning environment, take attendance, enforce rules, and communicate with teachers and administrators about behavior and progress.

In this role you will model professionalism, fairness, and consistency while supporting students to stay on task and complete assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required (some college preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to remain calm, consistent, and professional in managing student behavior.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for recordkeeping.
• Experience working with students in educational or supervisory settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor students assigned to SITT.
• Enforce school rules and behavioral expectations.
• Ensure a structured, safe, and respectful learning environment.
• Take attendance and maintain records of student participation.
• Distribute and collect assignments; support students in staying on task.
• Communicate with teachers, counselors, and administrators regarding behavior and progress.
• Address minor issues promptly and report major concerns to administration.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating fairness and respect.
