GRANT MIDDLE SCHOOL in Marion, Ohio is seeking a part-time Middle School Assistant Show Choir Director to support the Show Choir program for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves assisting in rehearsals, music arrangement, budgeting, and coordinating transportation and performances under the supervision of the Director and Principal.

Qualified candidates will have a PASP permit, CPR, First Aid, and experience in vocal pedagogy, show choir or musical theater.

Qualifications

• PASP – Pupil Activity Supervisor Permit issued by The Ohio Department of Education (Fulfills coaching related requirements).
• CPR certification is required.
• First Aid/Health Safety knowledge expected.
• Knowledge of vocal pedagogy and music theory.
• Background in musical theater preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with rehearsals, performances, and show design.
• Help budget and organize events, trips, and awards for the program.
• Coordinate music selection and schedule with staff, boosters, and administration.
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and safe practice environments.
• Support conduct of rehearsals and leadership of choir students.
