Job summary

GRANT MIDDLE SCHOOL in Marion, Ohio invites applications for a Middle School 8th Grade Cheerleader Advisor. This seasonal, supplemental coaching position supports student athletes, conducts practices, and coordinates with the Extracurricular Activities Director.

The successful candidate will hold a PASP permit, possess coaching knowledge, and complete CPR/First Aid training. Reports to the Extracurricular Activities Director and works with school staff to promote safety and good sportsmanship.

Qualifications

• PASP permit required by Ohio Dept of Education.
• Thorough knowledge of the sport coached.
• CPR certification and First Aid/Health Safety training.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit professional behavior and sound judgment.
• Lead practices and coordinate with assistants as needed.
• Promote ethics, teamwork and sportsmanship among athletes.
