Job summary

You will implement the academy curriculum, develop plans aligned with state standards, and participate in ongoing analysis to ensure curriculum relevance. Strong collaboration with special education staff and regular parent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• State teacher licensure/certification with appropriate endorsements.
• Bachelor’s degree with subject area emphasis to be deemed highly qualified.
• Demonstrated commitment to young people’s learning success.
• Experience in tutoring, teaching or other education-related experience; evidence of successful student/parent relations.

Responsibilities

• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning; enforce behavior codes and collaborate on school-wide behavior management.
• Plan a program of study that meets student needs; align lessons with state and school standards.
• Develop lesson plans and submit them for review; work with instructional coach to improve instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff to implement inclusive approaches and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate records and confidentiality; ensure regulatory compliance for time and effort reporting.
• Communicate with parents and be available outside normal hours to support student learning.
• Participate in extracurricular activities as needed; support school improvement initiatives.
