Qualifications

• Must have a secondary provisional or permanent certificate.
• Each teacher will file a copy of all college grades with the board of education.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and evaluate students’ progress under the supervision of the building principal.
• Maintain necessary records (office, student, personal) for school operations.
• Keep teaching area neat and in good order; ensure equipment is cared for.
• Report damages to buildings/equipment to the principal.
• Assess needs in the teaching area through the budget process with the principal.
• Ensure rooms/equipment are left in order at day’s end; secure doors and power.
• Support school-community relations improvement.
• Report student problems to the principal and supervise student activities.
• Serve as a curriculum consultant for the district; perform other duties as assigned.
