Job summary

Legacy Early College is a K4-12 public charter school focused on “To and Through College.” The teacher will create differentiated instruction, maintain a climate fostering knowledge, skills, and character, and report to the School Principal. The role includes preparing lessons, assessing progress, and maintaining records for compliance.

The position follows the Legacy academic calendar, with typical hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Prepare lessons reflecting best practices and accommodations.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents.
• Maintain accurate records as required by policy and laws.
• Participate in professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lessons that reflect best practices and accommodations for individual differences of students.
• Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor
• Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals and communicate objectives to students
• Assess student learning through observations and formal methods with frequent feedback
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and policy
• Assist administration in implementing policies governing student life
• Participate in all professional development opportunities
• Actively participate in team meetings and committees
• Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and community
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
