StrongMind is seeking a certified Secondary Science Teacher to design and deliver engaging online instruction for middle/high school students. The role supports families with consistent communication and builds a vibrant virtual classroom from Goodyear, AZ.

You will lead science courses using provided resources, give timely feedback, and participate in ongoing professional development while aligning with school initiatives and IEP/504 considerations.

Qualifications

• Current Arizona Standard Professional Teaching Certificate with a Science endorsement.
• Valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (required).
• Prior middle/high school teaching experience preferred.
• Proficiency with technology to support diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging virtual instruction for core science classes.
• Provide individualized feedback and maintain communication with students and families.
• Lead online classrooms with a safe, academically focused environment.
• Offer daily office hours and timely feedback on assignments (24–48 hours).

What You’ll Do

As a Certified Secondary Science Teacher, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering engaging virtual instruction that supports the academic and social growth of every student. Using school-provided resources—and your own creativity—you’ll lead core science classes, provide individualized feedback, and maintain consistent communication with students and families.

In This Role, You Will

• Create meaningful lesson experiences using provided curriculum materials and instructional best practices
• Establish a safe, positive, and academically focused online classroom
• Provide consistent, clear communication to students and parents via phone, email, and messaging
• Offer daily office hours to support student learning and success
• Grade assignments within 24-48 hours and offer personalized feedback
• Manage online discussions, daily course announcements, and advisory sessions
• Track and document student progress, concerns, and parent communications
• Support IEP and 504 compliance
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
• Support clubs and electives programming on Fridays

What You Bring

Weekly Schedule Overview

Location: In-Person - Goodyear, AZ

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Monday - Thursday: 8:00-11:45: Office Hours/ Intervention Groups/ Test Prep 12:00-3:50: Subject Area Classes - PBLs

Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Office Hours / Clubs / Electives
