Great Oaks Charter School in Bridgeport is seeking a School Academic Paraprofessional to support student learning in collaboration with teachers and administrators. You will assist with classroom management, tutoring, and educational support services to help students achieve academic success.

Responsibilities include implementing dynamic lesson plans, providing individual and small-group tutoring, and supporting students with IEPs.

Qualifications

• Passion for education and belief in each student's potential.
• Experience in education or youth development is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative, positive attitude with adaptability.
• High school diploma; associate's degree or higher preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with teachers to implement dynamic lesson plans addressing students' learning needs.
• Provide individual and small group tutoring to support skill development.
• Support students with special needs per their individual education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with AmeriCorps Fellows to reinforce critical content.
• Promote respect, leadership, and community engagement among students.
