Job summary

Coordinated Youth & Human Services is seeking a paraprofessional to support students' educational and social development under the guidance of teachers and school leadership. The role involves reinforcing learning with individuals or small groups and assisting with instructional materials and activities.

You will help implement IEPs, maintain attendance, supervise students, and assist with behavior management using established tools. Strong organizational skills and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional license required or willing to obtain after hire.
• Desire to assist students with special needs.
• Ability to work with all school personnel and students in a cooperative, courteous manner.
• Ability to work under stressful situations.
• Willingness to build effective rapport with diverse student populations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in educational and social development of students under guidance of principal and teacher.
• Assist in implementation of IEPs and monitor student progress.
• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in devising strategies to reinforce materials and skills.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials.
• Grade assignments, complete attendance forms, assist with classroom projects.
• Escort, supervise, and assist students to various settings.
• Support and implement the classroom behavior management plan.
• Establish positive rapport with students and support emotional/behavioral needs.
• Utilize behavior management tools and CHOICES Curriculum; address student needs.
• Complete assigned bus duty and attend meetings; assist in food service as assigned.
