Job summary

AnthroMed Education seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support middle school students in Algonquin, IL for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year. The role focuses on student development across functional, sensory, motor, and educational goals, with a caseload of about 40 IEP students.

You'll collaborate with a part-time OT in the building, teachers, and related services, receiving clinical guidance and resources to support your professional growth and success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent accredited OT program.
• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license through the IDFPR.
• Experience working in a school-based setting is preferred.
• Experience working with middle school students and diverse populations is a plus.
• Familiarity with IEPs, evaluations, and school-based documentation.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• A passion for helping students participate and succeed in their educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students in grades 6–8.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students with IEPs.
• Support students in both general education and self-contained classrooms.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs.
• Provide direct services based on individualized IEP goals and service minutes.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student progress and classroom participation.
• Provide consultation and recommendations to educational staff regarding student needs and accommodations.
• Complete evaluations, participate in three-year re-evaluations, and contribute to IEP development.
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with another OT in the building to coordinate services.
