Job summary

AnthroMed Education is seeking a Full-Time School-based Occupational Therapist to support K-5 students onsite in Glen Ellyn, IL. The role involves direct OT services, developing individualized goals, and collaborating with teachers and families to help students access and participate in school.

Scheduling runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM with a 35-hour workweek. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, with dedicated support from AnthroMed Education.

Qualifications

  • Current Illinois IDFPR Occupational Therapy license.
  • Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Passion for supporting students and helping them build independence and confidence.
  • School-year position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-5th grade students.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy goals and interventions.
  • Support students' fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success in the classroom.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of student goals.
  • Monitor and document student progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely therapy documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with families and members of the educational team.
  • Collaborate with other related service providers to provide coordinated student support.
  • Adapt interventions and strategies based on individual student needs.

Caseload: Mixed caseload of K-5th grade students

Compensation: $60,000-$75,000 annualized salary

About the Role

As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you will provide occupational therapy services to students in grades K-5 with a variety of needs. You will work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, families, and other related service providers to help students develop the skills they need to access and participate in their educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-5th grade students

Develop and implement individualized therapy goals and interventions

Support students' fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills as appropriate

Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success in the classroom
