Responsibilities
  1. Create a classroom culture of high achievement and student ownership that supports students’ intellectual, social, and emotional development.
  2. Deliver daily instruction with clear outcomes, well-designed lessons, and assessments aligned to our curriculum and standards.
  3. Incorporate creative, hands-on learning experiences to broaden student exposure and foster ingenuity, requiring application of knowledge and skills.
  4. Maintain a visually appealing classroom environment with resources aligned to standards and displays of exemplary student work.
  5. Communicate effectively with students to understand their talents, interests, and needs, and convey learning expectations and progress.
  6. Engage regularly with families to discuss student talents, interests, needs, and progress.
  7. Collaborate with staff across the network to enhance student learning and achievement through meetings, analysis sessions, and professional development.
Qualifications
  1. Preferred experience in teaching.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Science/Mathematics or related field from an accredited university.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Successful completion of the Praxis II Exam.
  5. One year of teaching experience with demonstrated high student achievement and growth.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master’s degree in mathematics or related field.
  2. Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above.
  3. Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  4. Two years of teaching experience with high achievement results.
