Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated teacher of record in Washington state to deliver live and asynchronous instruction, meet state standards, and support student achievement.

You will use a Learning Management System, differentiate instruction, monitor progress, and communicate with families about growth and welfare.

This role requires a state teaching license, knowledge of standards, strong communication, and comfort working in a multicultural school environment.

Qualifications

Current state teaching license in the appropriate content area.
Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
High‑level comfort working in a growth‑focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
High‑quality written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
Ability to properly manage confidential information.
Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
Washington state residency preferred.
Two years’ teaching experience preferred.
Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor.
Work to meet student achievement, culture, and state-specific academic accountability goals.
Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student need.
Complete course setup in the Learning Management System.
Monitor asynchronous course progress and provide daily assignment feedback and grades.
Track and maintain contact with each student.
Collaborate with the Principal on student progress reports.
Review student‑level data and adjust instruction.
Differentiate instruction for all students.
Use research‑based practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
Create a joyful, caring classroom environment.
Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices.
Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
Communicate with families about students’ academic and social‑emotional growth.
Incorporate 21st‑Century technology skills into classroom and team practices.
Plan and implement non‑instructional activities, including social events and field trips.
Attend student events in person.
Collaborate and communicate with colleagues.
Travel to support required face‑to‑face state testing annually.
Perform other duties as assigned.
