Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Learning Specialist program or building one.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Experience interpreting psychoeducational evaluations and translating results into accommodations.
• Knowledge of relevant technology and strong communication skills.
• Ability to implement formal and informal assessments and show passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

• Develops solid knowledge of Curriculum Maps, Scope and Sequence and grade-level curricula to support students and teachers.
• Differentiates instruction as needed in content, process, product, and environment.
• Creates individualized learning profiles (LP) for students requiring specialized instructional support.
• Acts as case manager and coordinates LP implementation with teachers, counselors, and faculty.
• Holds annual meetings for all students with LPs.
• Provides individual and small group instruction.
• Teaches 6th–8th grade TEAM courses.
