Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks an experienced Administrator I to support building-level leadership under the principal, guiding instructional programs and school operations in alignment with MCPS goals.

The role requires a masters in educational administration, substantial teaching and leadership experience, and Maryland Administrator I licensure or eligibility to obtain it. Evening and weekend participation in school activities may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Administration or closely related field.
• Five years of successful teaching experience; at least one year in MCPS.
• Three years of school-based leadership experience (assistant administrator or central services).
• Must meet Maryland certification requirements for Administrator I or principal/supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administering and supervising the total school program.
• Help establish a climate conducive to learning and provide educational leadership.
• Plan and coordinate programs, affect change, and support decision making.
• Ensure alignment with MCPS policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
