Job summary

North Side Community School seeks a visionary Middle School Assistant Principal Fellow to join the leadership team for a one-year fellowship focused on culture, discipline, and extended-day operations.

The Fellow will gain hands-on administrative experience, with executive coaching from the Principal, and potential transition to the AP role in Year 2 based on performance and organizational fit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; administrative certification preferred or in progress.
• Minimum of 3 years of successful leadership experience in a middle/high school or urban setting.
• Flexibility to serve as Administrator on Duty during Extended Day and Summer School.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tier 2 and 3 behavior management and interventions across the middle school.
• Drive PBIS and ClassDojo incentive systems and restorative practices.
• Provide restorative circles, mediation, and re-entry meetings after incidents.
• Oversee MTSS-based scholar support plans with counselors, social workers, and instructional staff.
• Manage Extended Day programming as Administrator on Duty and supervise staff.
