Qualifications

• Iowa Teaching Certification with endorsement in content area.

Responsibilities

• Meet eight Iowa Teaching Standards and 42 criteria consistently.
• Create a safe and orderly learning environment through standards of behavior.
• Provide whole group, small-group, and individual instruction to meet student needs.
• Develop daily and long-range lesson plans aligned to district curriculum.
• Use developmentally appropriate instructional practices.
• Evaluate student progress and maintain records, including progress reports.
• Communicate with parents about student development and the school program.
• Participate in staff development and professional meetings.
• Establish professional relationships with staff and parents.
• Supervise students during assigned activities.
• Fulfill terms of the negotiated agreement.
