Qualifications

• Hold an Associates degree or higher; OR have passed or be able to pass the Praxis ParaPro Assessment.
• Ability to support teachers with lesson activities and materials.

Responsibilities

• Implement a variety of instructional strategies aligned to lesson objectives.
• Assist teacher with conducting lessons, classroom management and material development.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Support programs designed to improve students' academic and social achievements.
• Operate computers and AV equipment to support lessons.
• Provide a nurturing and encouraging classroom presence.
• Monitor the classroom and minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with department and grade-level teachers.
