Milton Middle School is seeking a dynamic Health Teacher (Substitute) to join our team in Milton, Vermont. This temporary role will plan, deliver, and assess health curricula in alignment with state standards.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education or related field, a Vermont teaching license with Health Education endorsement (or eligibility for emergency substitution), and strong classroom management. Starting Nov 30, 2026, this assignment runs through January.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Physical Education, Nursing or related field preferred.
• Valid Vermont Teaching License with Health Education endorsement preferred (or eligibility for emergency/substitute licensure).
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required per district policy.
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills; focus on adolescent wellness.

Responsabilités

• Plan, deliver, and assess health and wellness curricula aligned with Vermont state standards.
• Establish a safe, supportive learning environment and maintain strong classroom dynamics.
• Maintain clear, active communication with administrators, parents/guardians, and staff.
• Participate in grade-level or faculty meetings and fulfill standard duties during long-term assignment.
